Working Hypothesis: The psychological aspect in sports is just as prevalent as physical; stress and anxiety can tear down an athlete’s psyche and destroy their performance.

Being an athlete does not pertain to just physical capabilities. Athletes at the highest level maintain a mental level that goes unnoticed. A healthy mind will lead to just as many as goals or touchdowns as a healthy body. The psychological aspect in sports is just as prevalent as physical; stress and anxiety can tear down an athlete’s psyche and destroy their performance.

Mental health dictates every aspect of our lives. The decisions we make, the feelings we have, and the way we control ourselves. Mental health translates massively into everything we know. So why wouldn’t an athlete’s mental health be as important as their physical health? Correct answer: There is none. An athlete’s mental health rules over every performance they have. The control an athlete has over their mental health will directly lead to better performances. Showing, the psychological aspect in sports is just as prevalent as physical.
