This source helped me understand the effect of powerlifting activity on the development of boys’ motor abilities. It helped me understand the recommended training schemes that should be used to introduce this sport to younger athletes, and how training loads should be steadily increased over time whilst other parts of training remain almost constant.

This was one of the most valuable sources I came across. It educated me on the benefits of strength training, especially when starting out at a younger age. This source assisted me through many assignments and named many individual potential benefits that regularly appear when athletes train for strength.

This source provided me with statistics on the injury rate in rugby. It gave me details on a study that was done that proved that, during the studied games, there were certain repetitive injuries and gave percentages on how often certain injuries were and percentages on how often any injury occurred to the players.

This article was one of the very different ones to the majority I have used. This article is backed by lots of science and clear images that display what muscle each lift works with diagrams and descriptions. I used this source mainly to help me explain how most injuries in powerlifting present themselves.

This source provided me with an insight into many of the myths connected to lifting weights at a young age. Although it was used in a few of my essays, it was mainly used in my research assignment, as it helped me a lot to debunk myths and eliminate counter arguments to strengthen my own.

This source was extremely useful in my final research assignment. It educated me and provided me with evidence on numerous benefits that resistance training gave to people who trained it. It gave me evidence on how much it decreases many factors that contribute to overall health, such as decreasing body fat and decreases many of the factors that contribute to heart disease and diabetes.

This source provided me with endless statistics on rugby, the injury rate, and the reoccuring causes for injury that is consistent throughout many studies. I used these statistics in some of my work to show that a more popular sport that powerlifting has a higher injury rate along with less potential benefits to its athletes.

What use did this source provide me with?

This source, similarly to one of the earlier ones, was used to simply provide more evidence on the sport of soccer being more dangerous than powerlifting, along with providing much less benefits for the athletes. I used this source numerous times throughout the semester and it was one of my go-to sources as well. I took evidence that showed the injury rate of soccer, most popular cause for injury, popularity of the sport, and the concussion rate due to heading the ball in the game.
