  1. Autism
  2. Autism in children
  3. Catching autism in kids early on
  4. Catching autism in children at an early age will have good benefits 
  5. If doctors can detect autism in children while they are still very young, the child will not have as many disabilities 
  6. If doctors can detect autism in children while they are still very young, the doctors can prevent loss of verbal communication skills and other valuable skills that children with autism suffer from.

    This is a perfectly reasonable Hypothesis, DisneyLover, but it’s one that has already been proved and is not in need of further evidence to convince readers, don’t you think?

    Here’s what I would recommend to get your brain working in a way more receptive to surprise.
    A. Autistic students are better suited to several types of learning than those not on the spectrum. Some classroom situations nurture and encourage that learning.
    B. Mainstreaming autistic children into the general student population does more harm to their socialization and their ability to learn than isolating them into special classes.
    C. Teaching strategies designed to benefit autistic students are actually beneficial for all members of the class.

    I don’t know if any of those statements are true, but they’re provocative, and they’d be worth investigating for the good reason that if they turned out to have any validity, they would add something new and valuable to an important conversation.

    Please consider a narrower and more challenging hypothesis. Just revise this post and invite me to give it another look.

    Your revised Hypothesis is a vast improvement.
    By now you will have exported it to your White Paper, I trust.
    There, you can continue to revise it as your research guides you to the best possible thesis you can prove. Thank you for participating in the process, DisneyLover.
