My Hypothesis – chickennugget246

  1. Seatbelts in automobiles.
  2. Manufacturing seatbelts in automobiles.
  3. The design of the seatbelt warning signal in automobiles.
  4. The installation of the automatic, motorized seatbelt in automobiles.
  5. Eliminate the law requiring drivers of an automobile to wear a seatbelt.
  6. Eliminating seatbelts from automobiles would reduce the number of auto accidents more than eliminating the law requiring drivers to wear a seatbelt while in the vehicle since drivers will become more cautious behind the wheel.

The role of social media in producing stress in adolescents is a very popular and well-researched topic, ChickenNugget. You’ll have to do something quite special with it to distinguish your paper from the thousands that already exist.

Clearly you don’t mean all social media should be eliminated. You do almost appear to say so, though. Banning it for “all individuals worldwide” is pretty clear, but “as they enter adulthood” indicates you mean you’re considering a ban for adolescents only.

Either way, I think you will come to realize that narrowing your focus will be very helpful. Surely, the majority of users manage to navigate social media without devastating consequences. Maybe you could help isolate and describe the vulnerable, or recommend ways to nuance the programs so that we don’t lose their value but at the same time protect those at risk.

    Is that helpful?

I’m happy with the counterintuitive nature of your Hypothesis, ChickenNugget. Also delighted that you ditched the social media topic.

I’m confused about your sequencing, though, and don’t see the development from 1 to 6 as clearly as you do. There appear to be several possibilities to consider.

My car doesn’t have an automatic motorized seatbelt/shoulder harness. It has a seat/shoulder combination restraint and an annoying beeping signal to remind me if I neglect to use it. I wonder if you might consider a flashing warning signal on the dash to remind drivers they’re unprotected in cars which (as you seem to be proposing) are completely lacking in restraint.
